Our annual Carol service was held on Dec 11th and the voices and enthusiastic participation of the children raised the roof on  the church of St James.

We were proud to welcome members of the Defence forces who on behalf of the government presented the school with our national flag and a copy of the 1916 proclamation. We look forward to celebrating the 1916 centenary next year.  Pupils help to read the proclamation

We were delighted to welcome former staff member Leah Weste when she returned to Ballinora  with the O Duffy cup. Well done Leah and the Cork Camogie team . 

Maths Week 2015

We celebrated Maths Week by going out and about on a Maths trail spotting parallel, perpendicular and  oblique lines as well as looking for angles and 2 and 3 D shapes. We also played Maths games and sudoku.

All Ireland Champion

Congratulations to one of our 6th class pupils who competed in the All Ireland freestyle Hurling competition during the interval  of the All Ireland Football final between Galway and Kilkenny on Sunday 6th September in front of 83,000 people in Páirc an Chrócaigh. Is laoch thú ! Displaying his skills

The aquatic strand of the PE curriculum commences on Monday 7th of September  and will run for 7 weeks for pupils in Rang 2 to Rang 6. The children will travel to Leisureworld for the lessons.

It was wonderful to welcome our new junior infants this week and to see them settling in so quickly.  We look forward to nurturing all of their talents as they grow and develop over the  next 8 years in Scoil Bhailenora,   From little acorns giant oak trees grow
